Who We Are
Invest Knowledge Hub (IKH) was founded in 2023 by a close-knit trio of friends with extensive experience in the capital market and financial industry. As both market practitioners and trainers, we have witnessed the challenges that many Malaysians struggle when it comes to managing their finances, and we’re on a mission to make a difference.
OUR MISSION
Malaysia is facing a financial literacy gap that is affecting countless lives. Consider these alarming statistics:
- According to a study by the Life Insurance Association of Malaysia (LIAM), only 4 out of 10 Malaysians have life insurance, and just 2 out of 10 have Takaful coverage.
- A 2022 study by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) revealed that nearly half (47%) of Malaysians struggle to set aside RM1,000 for emergencies, while 69% find it challenging to save for a rainy day.
- Approximate 72,000 cases of reported losses amounting to over RM5.2 billion due to scams were recorded from 2000 until May 2022, as reported by PDRM.
- 81% of Employee Provident Fund (EPF) contributors do not have a minimum of RM240,000 in savings to retire above poverty line by the age of 55.
- An estimated 80% of Malaysians do not have proper estate planning and over RM90 billion worth of unclaimed assets nationwide, according to a statement highlighted by the President of Malaysian Institute of Estate Planners (MIEP) as at September 2022.
